The Woman Who Fell To Earth
The first thing you have to understand about Mars, Enya had told him, is that humans weren’t the dominant species on the planet. Not by a long shot. Jona was already reluctant to write a biography for the reclusive billionaire with a mysterious past, but he never expected her to tell him that she was a refugee from ancient Mars who had fled war and environmental disaster. Or that a freak accident had sent her sixteen thousand years into the future, separating her from her daughter just as they had arrived on Earth. And now she was asking him to document her journey as she set out to prove that her memories are real.
The provocative North American historian, Daniel Red Horse, has known Enya for years and he’s the only other person she has ever told about her past. He’s never been sure what to make of her stories but he’s a friend and he’s agreed to help her understand the messages she’s been receiving in her dreams. Enya believes they’re transmissions from the past sent by her daughter, warning her that they’re in danger and that she sent people into the future to find her because time was running out.
Both men assume her story can’t possibly be true, that there must be something else that can explain what she believes to be her memories. But as Jona learns more about Enya’s past and Sane Horse delves into what her dreams could mean, they begin to realize that the forces that Enya described as having destroyed Mars may now be on Earth. And if she’s right about her past, then the future of humanity is about to radically change—if it can survive at all.
I am currently seeking representation for my manuscript THE WOMAN WHO FELL TO EARTH.
