On July 14th, 2018 Harith ‘Snoop’ Augustus, who by all accounts was a quiet mild-mannered guy who stayed out of trouble, was killed by the police shortly after leaving his job at a barbershop in the South Shore neighborhood of Chicago. The incident triggered a night of unrest followed by days of organized protests near the barbershop where he worked. Neighbors and police accountability activists took to the streets of South Shore to vent their frustration and advocate for change.
