Over a decade before the Cubs eventually won the world series they famously lost the national league championship after a fan caught a foul ball, sending the team into a downward spiral. Before the Wrigley Field remodel people could fill the streets north of the stadium on Waveland Avenue. These photographs are from the last two night games as the Cubs failed to rally for a win.
